I recently spent a delightful long weekend at Hôtel Le Martray, nestled on the serene north-western corner of Île de Ré, and I can honestly say it was the perfect escape! The location is unbeatable-only a mere 25 meters from the beach, allowing us to enjoy morning strolls along the shore before indulging in their incredible breakfast. Each morning started beautifully with fresh pastries and a charming terrace view of the sea. The rooms, though not large, were individually decorated and soundproof, providing a cozy haven. With my companions by my side, we appreciated the attention to detail from Laurent and Marie, who always went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and looked after. We even brought our beloved dog, who was treated with as much warmth as we were! The bike rentals were a hit; we spent one day cycling around to explore the stunning landscapes and local oyster farms, taking in the natural beauty of the area. If you're seeking a peaceful getaway with personal touches, definitely consider Le Martray-it's a wonderful mix of comfort and charm, where every detail feels just right. Plus, I can't wait to revisit this gem on my next adventure!
